All 12AX7 family tubes are tested with the new preamp tube Maxi-Pre. Testing includes:  Transconductance, gain, triodes match, and noise test.

All of the power tubes we offer are matched by us. The tubes are matched based on the plate current (and transconductance if necessary). To get the best result we measure the plate current at 400 Volts, plate voltage. All tubes not matched by us are matched by the manufacture and check by us. We match tubes within 5%, which means that the tubes won't differ from each other by more than 5% plate current, and do our best to target 1% static Ip and 5% transconductance matching. Other wise known as "Cloned" power tubes.
